Confession: I’ve been skipping breakfast.
For many years, I’ve been preaching breakfast as the most important meal of the day, and have recommended three balanced meals with a couple of snacks as the ideal method of healthy eating. But the numbers in my scale continued to creep up slowly over the years.
Yes, I could have eaten a little “cleaner” but even when I had a great stretch of healthy eating, the numbers didn’t trend downward much.
Since I’m always on the prowl for health and wellness ideas, I happened upon a little book called “The 8-Hour Diet” by David Zinczenko and light bulbs started going off.
It was my first introduction to a concept called intermittent fasting. The more I looked into it, the more I appreciated the science behind it.
