Embrace Your Weight Loss Goals and Identify as a Runner

When Jennifer Brown first started running, she did so with a clear goal in mind: to lose weight. And over the course of several years, she did just that, losing 190 pounds and reversing health risks by combining running with healthy habits.

What began as a promise to log one mile a day developed into a deep passion for running that hasn’t ceased. During the process of running for weight loss, Brown, now a health habit coach, fell in love with the strong, dedicated person she became when she laced up her shoes and headed out the door. “I go back and reflect on where I was when I first started this, how one mile was just such a long distance to me at this point,” shares Brown for our Running for Weight Loss program. “I’ve (since) covered so many miles, hundreds of miles, and it still is just kind of like an awe moment.”
