We asked registered dietitians Avery Zenker, Lainey Younkin, and certified nutritionist Lisa Schultz, to highlight six carb-rich foods that can help your body burn fat instead of storing it.
1. Popcorn: Popcorn might seem like just a snack, but it can be a powerful ally in weight management. “Popcorn is a low-calorie, high-fiber whole grain that can help support weight loss for women,” explains Avery Zenker with MyHealthTeam. She adds, “Popcorn’s low energy density (high volume for low calories) means that people can eat larger portions without excessive caloric intake.”
